WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE GOLD STAR FAMILY LICENSE PLATES A REALITY
Attention all veterans and friends of veterans. We need your help to make Gold Star Family license plate a reality. $300,000 for start-up costs must be raised from private donations before the California Department of Motor Vehicles can begin producing Gold Star Family license plates so these families can honor their fallen sons, daughters, husbands, wives and others.
To date, we have received only $6,900 in donations. In spite of these difficult economic times we are asking that you find a way to donate to this most worthy and important cause. Whether you send a few dollars, a few hundred or a few thousand, all donations are welcome and will propel us to our goal. Your donations are tax deductible and you will receive a receipt and a thank you letter for your contribution. Donation forms are available on our website at www.calvet.ca.gov and clicking on Gold Star Family License Plate Fund or you can call us and we will mail one to you.
Memorial Day just passed, but its significance and sacredness never should, nor should we ever let the memory of our fallen drift away. We can think of no better way to both sanctify the sacrifice of our fallen heroes and honor the families whose lives were changed forever than by getting these Gold Star Family License plates produced.
